Saros Zenith Update: Accessibility Options, New Game Plus and Boss Rush Explained

Saros’s free Zenith update arrived on October 19, 2026. It adds options for players struggling with combat and new challenges for people who have finished the game, according to Housemarque’s update announcement.

Accessibility settings to try first

Slow Game Speed gives you more reaction time while retaining enemy attacks. You can adjust the slowdown and activate it automatically in combat or manually. Auto-fire shoots when you aim at a hostile, but reloads still require input. Motion Sensor Aiming is also new.

Our suggestion: change one setting at a time, then revisit a familiar encounter. That makes it easier to identify whether the problem is reaction time, aiming comfort or juggling inputs. Auto-fire is worth testing separately from slowdown because they address different demands.

How Eclipse Layers unlock

After clearing the game, new Armor Matrix nodes at Passage unlock Eclipse Layers, Zenith’s New Game+ mode. Starting a Layer requires a modifier loadout that meets a challenge threshold. The update adds 10 Protection and 10 Trial Modifiers.

For returning players, choose a combination you understand before stacking unfamiliar rules. Treat that as an experiment in building a manageable challenge rather than assuming the largest number of modifiers will be the most satisfying run.

Where to find Overlord Rush

Use the Primary Unit in Passage for boss rush. Incursion and Ascension contain three bosses each; Totality chains all eight. Online leaderboards require internet access and a PlayStation account. These mode details come from the same developer announcement.

Do you need a separate purchase?

Zenith costs existing owners nothing extra. PlayStation’s Saros page lists the base game for PS5, with single-player offline play supported. The leaderboard requirement should therefore be considered separately from playing the base game offline.
