Conan Exiles Enhanced is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in early 2027 as a free upgrade for existing console owners. Funcom has not announced an exact date. Crossplay is planned shortly after launch, and the save transition has important exceptions.
What the console upgrade includes
Funcom’s announcement confirms the PS4-to-PS5 and Xbox-One-to-Series-X|S upgrade paths. It describes better environments, characters, lighting and effects, plus a redesigned interface and performance improvements.
The PlayStation announcement says the Legacy of the Giant-Kings story content is included at console launch. Isle of Siptah remains a separate purchase.
Crossplay is planned after launch
Funcom’s wording is “soon after launch.” Treat that as a separate milestone from the console release itself. A group spread across platforms should wait for the activation details before planning its first shared session.
There is no exact crossplay date in the announcement linked here. This article therefore does not describe it as a confirmed day-one feature.
What happens to purchases and saves?
The official console FAQ distinguishes several situations:
- Purchases: Crom Coins, Bazaar items, DLC and Twitch Drops carry into Enhanced. Enhanced purchases do not apply back to Legacy.
- Official Exiled Lands servers: characters, followers and bases carry forward when servers transition.
- Isle of Siptah: existing bases cannot be preserved because the island’s coordinates change.
- Single-player: saves move to Enhanced, but an Enhanced-loaded save cannot reopen in Legacy. Without a backup option, that change can be permanent.
Can you stay on Legacy?
The FAQ says Legacy remains available for single-player and private servers, with critical fixes rather than new major content. Official servers and the Bazaar move away from Legacy; Crom Coins carry to Enhanced but stop being usable in Legacy.
Our suggestion is to identify which save or server type you use before deciding how to move. Owning the upgrade and preserving a particular base are different questions. Record your server and map, keep any backup available through your platform, and wait for Funcom’s detailed preparation instructions before starting a migration.
What remains unconfirmed?
The FAQ promises more preparation details closer to release. It does not supply a complete private-server migration walkthrough, so avoid treating a generic save-transfer guide as a guarantee for every setup.
