Nintendo Switch Online Announces Six Game Boy and GBA Additions for October 2026

Published October 27, 2026

Nintendo’s October 26, 2026 Classics announcement lists three Game Boy games for any Nintendo Switch Online membership and three Game Boy Advance games for Expansion Pack members. The split matters if you are deciding whether to upgrade: the lower tier covers only the Game Boy half of this announcement.

The six announced games and their membership tiers

Nintendo’s official announcement divides the additions as follows:

• Game Boy — any Nintendo Switch Online membership: Avenging Spirit, Mole Mania and Revenge of the ‘Gator.
• Game Boy Advance — Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: Monster Rancher Advance, METAL SLUG ADVANCE and Kururin Paradise.

The announcement covers Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. It does not give a separate, precise rollout date for each title, so check the relevant Classics app on your system for current availability.

Which app should you check?

Use the Game Boy – Nintendo Classics app for the first group and the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Classics app for the second. These are separate collections; opening one is not a check of both libraries.

If you are returning after a break, confirm the membership attached to your Nintendo Account before troubleshooting a missing collection. That avoids treating an access requirement as a download problem.

Does the seven-day trial include the GBA games?

No. Nintendo’s announcement says the standard seven-day trial cannot be redeemed for an Expansion Pack membership. It renews as a paid one-month membership unless canceled; eligibility restrictions apply.

Should you upgrade for this announcement?

Our suggestion is to start with a specific game you want to play, then check the required tier. Three additions to the higher tier do not automatically make an upgrade worthwhile for every player. If your interest is entirely in the first group, the membership distinction is the more useful fact than the combined total.
